Where will you spend eternity? It is a reality that we all will not live forever on this earth. It is a reality that we are all born sinners, but there is hope in Jesus Christ alone. Nothing can give us eternal life except to be saved by the Grace of God through faith as we accept His free gift of salvation. If you do not know for sure where you will spend eternity, it is our prayer that you will accept Christ sincerely today.
Some simple truths:
-Recognize Your Condition "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) No one is good enough to go to Heaven on his own merit. No matter how good we are, we fall short of God’s standard.
-Realize the Penalty for Sin "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23) Just as there are wages for doing good, there are wages for doing wrong. The penalty for our sin is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.
-Believe Christ Died for You "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Christ’s great love for us was shown when He died on the cross to pay our debt.
-Trust Christ Alone as Your Savior "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. " (Romans 6:23) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13) Everlasting life is a gift made available by Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. This gift is offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith.
To know for sure that your sin is forgiven and that Heaven is your home, you must call on Jesus and believe with your heart that He is the risen Savior. Words alone are not enough to save; you must, by faith, believe with your heart. Some may feel they do not know how to pray. It is not hard, for God wants you to approach Him with sincerity. If you feel you need help knowing the words to say, let us help you with your prayer: "Dear Jesus, I know I’m a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins and make me your child. I trust you alone to save me and to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me, Jesus. Amen."
Pray in your own words, and be sincere with your heart, believing God's Word. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
