TEMPERATURE AND MASK POLICY UPDATE
WJBC Membership and Attenders,
NEW: We begin live services January 10, 2021
We are happy that we are able to be meeting again and wish more would come. After much consideration and counsel, we must make some wise decisions and I am asking all that attend to support this decision. This is imperative that we act with care and grace. Why?
1. The Covid-19 virus is a real virus. Preachers, missionaries, and other friends have had this sickness and it has many extremes. We must not be flippant when it comes to the safety of our people.
2. We are to have a good testimony to the community.
3. The number of people that have the virus has increased. We want to take precautions without cancelling all services. We do not want anyone to get the virus.
4. The other policies of who should and should not attend remain intact and can be seen below.
5. I’ve sought legal counsel, and our deacons are in full agreement.
You’ve seen me over the last few months make the decision to close the services for your safety. Now as we return, please support all requirements.
6. Please maintain social distancing as much as possible.
A mask will be required when entering, exiting, or moving throughout the church buildings. Also, please wear a mask whenever you can’t socially distance, or if you choose to be less than 6 feet from others.
Once seated, as long as you are seated with those from your household, you may remove your mask for the service. Please continue to sit with those that live in your household. If you choose to sit with someone who does not live in your household, you will need to wear a mask during the service.
A mask is not required for children 6 and under, whoever is leading the music, whoever is singing the special, or preaching. All of these must remain 6 feet or more away from others while ministering.
Please allow your temperature to be taken upon entering the building. Contrary to a video that was circulated on Facebook, this is not dangerous. The video was full of false information. The checking of temperatures is another level of protecting one another and it is a strong recommendation from the Christian Law Association. Help us to keep live services going.
